Steve when we do caenstone after it is dried I clear coat it with a water based poly.I use aquagard from faux effects and have had excellent results.If Im doing the finish outside I add some white portland to the basecoat and the finish also with excellent results.Just was back at a job I did 4 years ago outside and it still looks awesome.Good luck Kevin
