My house is close to 100 yrs old.  Most of the walls & ceilings are plaster and my husband and I repaired most of it 3 yrs ago and the cracks have seaped thru.  We heard of your product and would like to obtain additional information.  If we use your product do we need to dig into the crack, place a mesh and apply your product?  Is sanding required and how long can we expect not to see any cracks resurfaced.  Thank you!

If the walls are sound you should need only to apply the mesh tape and apply the Master of Plaster base coats and a finish coat.
If the existing walls are not smooth you could trowel the second coat of base as smooth as any plaster.
What material did you use to do the make the older repairs?
Sounds like you have used joint compound?
NO SANDING IS REQUIRED.
If you follow the Master of Plaster instructions you should not see any cracks.
As a plastering contractor this is the best plaster repair material that I know off.
And I have use it on many projects and to date no failures and no call backs.
But many request for repairs using the Master of Plaster product.

Hi Jackie - i used the mop base followed by the MOP finish to repair a rather large area in my hall ceiling.  i did just what  Clarence described (after watching Mike's dvd) and the repair is great.  you cannot tell where the damaged area was.
